According to § 14a and 14b of the EU regulation on dietetic foods and dietetic measures - hypocaloric balanced diets (total daily energy content less than 800 kcal) may only be used under medical supervision for those persons for whom these special nutritional requirements exist.

The costs for the initial medical examination are calculated separately and individually by the attending physician. The guideline value is about € 86.00 per person and is not yet included in the total price.
